  1. Thoughts that I am slightly embarassed to admit crossed my mind tonight but that I am sharing in order to come clean with myself and the world:

“Damn. I wish they had Music and Lyrics in widescreen.”

  2. Yes, children, it’s true!

    Overheard on campus today:

Undergraduate Student #1: “You know, he kind of reminds me of Oscar Wilde.”
    Undergraduate Student #2: “Oh, yeah.”
Undergraduate Student #1, with genuine disbelief: “Hey, did you know . . . that Oscar Wilde was gay?

    Yes. Yes. We all knew.

  3. Well, today was kind of rough.

Here are some rules that I hope will prevent future rough days:

    1. Wonderful people are hereby no longer allowed to suddenly die because it’s too hard to take.

    2. Instead of departmental in-fighting and faculty ego-battles, we shall have tea parties with cupcakes decorated with marzipan figures of our favourite composers and musical icons and we will all discuss our issues in a civilized manner and come to mutually pleasing resolutions.

    3. There will be no more assignments like this: “Write a ten page paper about the following question: Musicology. Why? Draw heavily on your own feelings. Present it to the class.”

  4. How annoying is it when I write posts that absolutely require you to click on a link for them to make any sense whatsoever?

These are probably crazy. However. The thing is, if they were like, $10 instead of $50, I would for sure inflict one upon my Mocha-roo when I go home for Christmas. I mean, I’ve already inflicted the utterly undignified nickname of “Mocha-roo” on her, so really, what harm could a little more indignity do?

My favourite is the pink one, although mostly I think it’s just cause the model is so charming and is speaking to me with her eyes. Her eyes are saying, “Come into my boudoir. And take this fucking wig off my head. I’m a cat, god damn it.”
