It’s like the comments I got when I was planning on doing folklore, and like the comments I will no doubt get when I go and do my masters in whatever I end up deciding to do my masters in. So many people are so narrow and closed-minded and frustrating.
Too bad you’re going to be famous, and whatever douche said that to you is going to be sitting around doing nothing and using the word “dinky”, which is pretty gross.
Sounds to me like you went to the wrong GSA event yesterday. You should shoot back and say, “and what is it that you do?” ::beat:: And what are you going to do with that? Go f**k yourself?
It wasn’t actually at a GSA thing – some friends and I play on a pub trivia team once a week, and this week, instead of letting us play with our usual teams, they decided that it was “let’s randomize the teams” night, and it was some jackass that I got teamed that made the comment.
He, incidentally, was an actor. I rest my case.
