1. Teaching section this quarter because I don’t know how,
2. Masters’ exams in the spring because they are scary,
3. What if there is no money for the Echo conference because all of the money in the world has vanished (see: “economic crisis”),
4. Dying in an earthquake because I live in California.
Luckily, in a week and a half, I will be in HAWAII! I will be in Hawaii where I will be presenting two papers. On the same panel. I have been put on a panel with myself. But luckily the Xandra Show is on the first day and then I am going to spend the rest of the conference sitting around in my leopard-spotted bathing suit, making unreasonable demands of cabana boys.

Would you make an unreasonable request of a cabana boy for me please? Not any particular one, just an unreasonable request of some sort.
Also, I am stressed about all of your things, with a slight adjustment to number 3.
I’ve actually had the bathing suit for a couple of weeks now! Well, sort of. It came and it wasn’t quite the right size so I sent it back and got a different size and now it’s SO PERFECT AND AMAZING! I’ll probably post a picture post-Hawaii – I feel like it needs to be seen in full tropical glory in order to be appreciated.
How about “Cabana boy! Bring me the head of John the Baptist!” Also, since we share the same things to be stressed out about, probably we should also share something else: some liquor. I took my dad to BevMo and I think he was so awed by his surroundings that it moved his heart to superhuman kindness so he bought me Amaretto, absinthe, and beer.
Um, did you come up with the conference theme? Because it’s amazing.
ok cool. I really want to order one but I really don’t know what size to get because the measurements are off… i.e. my bust and waist are not the size that they apparently should be for my hips, according to the chart. I guess it wasn’t a big deal to send it back? Also xmas eating is evil and I might wait to see if I can lose the 10+ pounds I put on. Grrrrrr….
I can’t remember who actually came up with the theme, but it was a group effort. I think someone had already thought of it before last year’s conference was even over. I think it’s going to be SO AWESOME.

They’re slightly cheaper there, for some reason. They were really good about returns. And they shipped really quickly. The first one I got fit ok, but it seemed weirdly short in the torso. I don’t know why. The second one is just slightly bigger, but fits so much better. You should get one! Mine is really beautiful and really flattering and it’s so well made.
