In honour of today being the 75th anniversary of the repeal of Prohibition in the United States, my offering for the weekly potluck/games night that we host over here at Casa Xandra and Sam, is this thing that I have just invented called Prohibition Repeal Punch.
Recipe!
1 Bottle of cheap champagne
About a litre of lime flavoured mineral water
Obscene amounts of raspberry liqueur to taste (use Chambord if you’re rich, use no-name raspberry liqueur if you’re me.)
Mix, drink until you’re silly.

Things are seriously awesome and amazing and suddenly more exciting than US politics for a change. I wish I had someone in this country with whom to gleefully discuss how gleeful I am about Harper’s impending political death, but mostly I am just being gleeful on my own.
