1. So, apparently my bank will let me custom-design a debit card for free. Like, I pick a picture, upload it, and they make me a debit card with said picture upon it. So obviously the question now is: what is the ridiculousest possible picture I could put on a debit card? This is a very important decision. So far I have thought of:
a) Mulder and Scully
b) Unicorn
c) My own face
d) Collage of the above
2. Also, WHY DIDN’T ANYBODY TELL ME ABOUT THE ECHO PARK TIME TRAVEL MART????

I have a pretty phenomenal picture that I am actually considering scanning and sending to the WTF picture blog. It’s of my sister and Chelsea Wallace, circa 1995ish, in the basement of my parents’ house mid-renovations (so the place looks kind of like a war zone). Helen and Chelsea have their faces painted garishly, are wearing the most ridiculous dress-up get-ups EVER (including something large being shoved up my sister’s shirt), there are random and unrelated toys strewn all over the floor, and my sister is crouching down and looking straight at the camera, with this strange/horrifying growling/grimacing/constipated look on her face. That’s the picture I would pick for a debit card today.
Mulder and Scully as unicorn furries?
Brand New had a post about the guys who designed this + the super hero store + the pirate store a while back. I may have already linked to this. I like to link to it a lot. It makes me want to get up off my ass and design something.
Mulder and Scully as PIRATE unicorn furries. Arr.
NO FURRIES! STOP THE MADNESS! Did I tell you about this guy that I sort of knew and I thought he was nice enough and mostly normal and then I found out that HE IS A FURRY???
Weirdly, I knew about 826, the literacy organization that those stores support, but had somehow missed the memo about the stores themselves.
Leith, I want to see that picture because it sounds amazing and we could probably do something elaborate involving it and Dave McGrath.
