Before we make fun of undergraduates too hard, let's keep in mind the fact that in first year university I took Reading Culture, and the TA showed us a clip from 2001: A Space Odyssey, which is a film that I had seen at least two times, and enjoyed prior to this class, AND it is basically a part of our collective subconscious AND keeping in mind that I am not a passing observer but actually an avid fan of Kubrick's films: I did not understand the point of the film until Mackerman explained it to me, and then I felt so stupid that I was stunned into silence.

Dr. Strangelove, however, is the best movie ever and only a commie wouldn't find it wonderful and hilarious. Fun Fact: Stanley Kubrick wanted to end the movie with a giant pie fight, but the studio could only afford one take. When Kubrick didn't like the take, he decided to end the world instead. Please note in the war room there are long tables of pies noticeable throughtout the movie. Amazing!
